Dear Parents,

Just a few reminders:

  • Please email me by 9am each morning to let me know your child is working, in order for me to mark them present
  • Please email and send me pictures of the assignments when completed
  • Please have your child log into raz-kids.com, for 20 minutes a day and zearn.org, or happynumbers.com for 15 minutes each day.
  • Friday is Gym day go to gonoodle.com and sign up

Friday 3/27/20
1. Math fat workbook pages473-476
2. ELA- Scholastic News- Students will read How to Rescue Baby Eagles and answer worksheet pages
3. Spelling- cut and paste ABC order
5. Contraction task cards- 21-30
6. Writing- What if you could create a new planet? Would your planet have mountains? Would there be fields of corn, Would it have forests or oceans? Where would people live? Close your eyes and imagine a place on your new planet. Write 10 words that tell what you see this new place
7. Religion- Students will read pages 210-211. Students will answer the following questions: What ae some different ways to show your thanks to others? How can we show that we believe in Jesus? What are we saying when we pray “Amen” at the end o the Eucharist Prayer? What happens during the Consecration at the Mass?
8. Social Studies -Topic- cultures/France Students will be reading a letter from a student who lives in France. They will then be answering questions as if they are that student. They will then be completing a Venn diagram comparing their life to the students life. They will also fill out a fun fact page.

Dear Parents, 

Just a few reminders to keep in mind:

  • Please make sure to email me by 9am stating that your child is working on the days assignments in order for me to mark them present.
  • Please make sure your child completes two pages of handwriting each day.
  • Have your child log into raz-kids.com each day or 20 minutes
  • Have you child log into either zearn.org, or happynumbers.com for 15 minutes a day
  • Please email all assignments each day.
  • Check Mrs. Cullen’s page for today music assignment

1. Fat Math workbook pages 463-466
2. Word workbook page 92
3. Reading- Students will be reading Hot Rod Messed Up on pages 148-149 in their reader and answering the questions
4. Spelling worksheet- word search
5. Contraction task cards 11-20 
6. Writing- Answer the following questions about a place that you have visited: What did you see? Was it very colorful, pretty, or ugly? What did you hear? Were there many kinds of sounds, or just a few? What did you touch? Was it hard, bumpy, or sticky? What did you smell? Were there many smells, or just one? Did you have something to eat? How did it taste?
7. Religion- Students will read pages 202-203 and answer the following questions: Who would you like to pray for next Sunday at Mass? Why do we say the Creed at Mass? How can we show care and concern for others?
8. Science- Build a Beam Bridge In this activity students will work to build a bridge from index cards that will span some “raging waters” (blue construction paper). Their bridges will be tested by adding pennies until it falls! If you need to adjust the supply list please feel free
9. Social Studies Topic- cultures/England. Students will be reading a letter from a student who lives in England. They will then be answering questions as if they are that student. They will then be completing a Venn diagram comparing their life to the students life. They will also fill out a fun fact page.
Please make sure students log into zearn.org for at least 15 minutes a day. They should also log into razkids for at least 20 minutes a day. Students must complete 2 pages in their handwriting notebook.

3. Reading- students will be reading It Isn’t Fair on pages 146-147 in their superkids reader and answering questions
4. Spelling -scrambled sentences worksheet
5. Contractions task cards 1-10
6. Writing- Imagine that you are in the park. Use your senses to think about everything around you. Write one sentence for each of the following: What would I see? What would I hear? What would I smell? What would I taste? What would I feel?
10. Religion- Students will read pages 202-203 and answer the following questions: Who would you like to pray for next Sunday at Mass? Why do we say the Creed at Mass? How can we show care and concern for others?
11. Science Lesson 6- Photosynthesis . Students will explore how different leaf shapes help a plant to get more sunlight. Refer to the power point presentation. Students will be making chlorophyll rubbings
12. Social Studies Topic- cultures/China Students will be reading a letter from a student who lives in China. They will then be answering questions as if they are that student. They will then be completing a Venn diagram comparing their life to the students life. They will also fill out a fun fact page.

Tuesday 3/24/20
1. Math fat work book pages 453-456
2. Word Works page 90
3. Reading- students will read Chapter 15 The Star on page 144-145 in their Super Kids reader and answer the questions
4. Spelling worksheet- word unscramble
5. Contraction puzzle- students will have an interactive power point to guide them
6. Writing- Imagine it is your birthday. You have a big outdoor party planned. Now however, it is raining. How do you feel? Draw a picture. Then write 3-4 sentences how you feel and why you feel this way.
7. Religion- Students will read pages 200-201. Students will answer these questions
What do we learn by listening to the Gospel?
What does the priest or deacon do during the homily?
8. Science-Students will compare human needs with plant needs. Students will be viewing a power point presentation. They will then be filling out a Venn diagram comparing plant needs to human needs.
9. Social Studies- cultures/Australia Students will be reading a letter from a student who lives in Australia. They will then be answering questions as if they are that student. They will then be completing a Venn diagram comparing their life to the students life. They will also fill out a fun fact page.
 Students must also be completing 2 pages daily in their handwriting notebooks.
