SOCIAL STUDIES GRADE 8th.

Students are to come to class prepared daily.  The textbook (Etext) is online for grades 5-8. Each student will receive a username and password to be able to access the textbook from home.

There will be homework on most school days. Please check the website daily. All homework and important information will be posted there. Homework (10%) and classwork (15%) are part of the report card grade along with tests (50%), quizzes (15%), and projects (10%.) Students will have one day to complete a missing homework with a valid excuse.

If a student misses a test they can take it the day they return to school or the next day. All corrections must be made and all tests must be signed and returned to school within 2 days after they are sent home. This will help keep you aware of your child’s progress so there are no surprises when you receive their report card. The website will inform you of any upcoming exams.

I am very excited about the new school year!

Thank You,

Mrs. Heidi Zavala
